Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to convert Hempel Distillation data for a crude oil sample into a useable composition. I've got two sets of data (one at atmospheric P, one at 40mm Hg) which gives the wt% of the sample for different temperature ranges. I want to convert this into hypothetical components in HYSYS, and have been unable to find much information on how to read these results. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Toby

I've actually answered this one myself. I have characterised the oil using ASTM D86/1160 in HYSYS and used this to generate the hypothetical components.
