OHV rocker pad radius?

Is the pad radius (where it contacts the stem tip) a pure geometric shape?
I've read it's a cycloid evolute curve, but can't track down attribution.

All the ones I have access to are just a plain radius, and not very large either- say in the area of .50 inches.
