Hi im am stuck on this question i have read other forums and soil mechnic books and have found it difficult to find the answers.

I have to describe the Oedometer test

What are the uses of one dimensional consolidation
What are the limitations of one dimensional consolidation

What are the drawbacks of the oedometer test.

Sounds like a homework question. I have no knowledge of the oedometer test, but found quite a bit of information by googling "Oedometer test". Have you tried that yet?
