Hi all,

I´ve just started in a oil and gas company, and I need your help in the following:

Considering a certain pressure, what should be thr relacion between and OD of a inner body and the ID of the outer body, to then apply a sealing system?

I imagine that it should depende on the sealing type, but considering that I'm talking about a subsea tubing hanger running tool which will have around it pistons and specific guides for the locking system, which means that they will move along the main body, what sealing type should I propose? FS Seals? Polypack seal?

1- For each of these, do you know if there is a document proposing a relation between the OD of the main body and the ID of the piston, for a specific working pressure?

2- In order to calculate the necessary pressure to move the piston (by a specific hydraulic line), should the drag force be also considered between both bodies considering the sealing between them, or it can be not considered?

Thank you very much for your help.
