We are asked to supply a steel fairlead that complies with above regulation. The origin of the inquiry is Norway and it's related to the offshore buisness.

I did an internet search on "ocims", but it didn't come up with relevant information.

Any hints?

Thanks in advance,

OCIMS stands for "Ocean and Coastal Information Management System" This is a NOAA (National Oceanic and Atomspheric Administration) data management system. They probably have information reporting regulations. Search NOAA on the web.

Timelord,

This was one of the things I found crawling the internet. In the mean time we figured out that our customer actually meant ocimF. This stands for Oil Companies International Marine Forum. So problem more or less solved.

Thanks anyway,

gieter,

I have designed and manufactured various mooring equipment in accordance with OCIMF. If you'd like, send the details of the equipment requirement to me at mike@usmech.net and I'll try to let you know what specs apply.

Best,

Michael Schirmer
