Has anyone tried to Validate the stress levels in the stiffening ribs of an obround vessel with FEA?
The results I get at the outer fiber of my stiffening ribs are 2-3 times larger than those predicted in ASME 13-11.
Have tried modelling with beam, shell and solid elements but it doesnt seem to make a difference
