New to Solidworks. With my existing CAD (2D) program I have already drawn many of the 'o'ring boss/ports.

Is there somewhere to obtain the equivalent for Solidworks so I can just 'insert' them into a part?

If so, how does one 'insert' them?

Thanks,

G. Andersson

O-ring manufacturers should have this data in their design catalogs.

Parker's has this in their o-ring handbook catalog ORD 5700A/US design table 4.5

(ORD 5712/UK for metric dimensions) both are downloadable in PDfformats

Hello George,

I have all the dimensions of the 'o' ring boss ports. I just need to know how to setup Solidworks so that I can just draw/model them and store them so that I can then just 'insert' them into a block like is done with holes.

Thks,

Figured out that the orb ports are supplied in the design library but I would sure like to know how to set up an equivalent library as the sae library or ports but be able to insert them to a point or interesection without referencing to the sides of a rectagular block. I don't know how to do such 'reprogramming' of a renamed library. ?????
