You may remember my past posts on problems with macros and journals executing exe files from another company. We have determined that our macros are indeed executing them correctly, but the problem is the macro continues to run in the background until the exe file is complete. The exe files are not taking focus away from the macro, so when we try to click on options that pop up, it is like having the wrong window up front and we are trying to click on the program running from the exe file, but the cursor is actually trying to click on the macro file.

For some reason, Journals do not execute these files correctly either.

My question is....

Is there another way to create a button or menu that does not use macros to or journals to execute the exe files? The only one I know of that works so far is to manually make a button through customize, and that just uses the NX Open without using a macro or Journal. The problem with that is we don't want to have to go through every computer to create each button manually. A toolbar or Menu would have been able to just be loaded at each computer with all of the buttons made already.

I am just hoping there is another option I am not aware of yet.

Is there a way to make a manual button through Customize and load it to other computers without messing up their roles?
