How would you create this part, using only Design and Detail Features?

here is one...rough model but more or less the process remain same....i have left one countersunk hole (that should not be a problem to you though)

I am investigating your approach in this subject.
When you created those two planes........How have you chosen their location and orientation?

Hi,
You need two views to create it. The side view sketch needs to be created first and then the plane you were talking about will be created (using point and direction). Finally creating the top view sketch. Extrude the first one and second sketch with interference as boolean operation.
