NX9 Assembly part quantities on individual detail dwg's possible?

I never include a part count on a dwg. detail because it's one less thing I can key in wrong.

But it sure would be nice if it were possible to get that count out of the top level ass'y an onto the detail. Seems like a stretch tho.

Anyone have a method???

do i understand you correctly, You want the number/quantity of say "venturi-brackets" that are needed in assembly xyz to be noted on the drawing "venturi-bracket-dwg1" ?
( and not noted in the BOM on the drawing "xyz-dwg1" )

Or is it "detail views" we are talking about ?

Yes, I want the number of "venturi brackets in top level ass'y "xyz" to appear in, top level ass'y parts list in "xyz_dwg1" & anywhere on "venturi-bracket_dwg1" (No "detail views")

The shop is always having to go back to a master spreadsheet or assembly drawing to re-connect with how many they are supposed to make. Rather than just having it on the detail they carry around the shop.

I don't put it on the details manually to avoid a whole new level of error prone management on large projects. Everything we build is "one off" so we only have one chance to get things right and make money.
