How can I check a total wire harness to all of its background at one time? I am routing wire harness, so I know there is area that is going to touch or crash. Such as, clips going through a hole location which is totally fine. However, I am looking for areas of the harness that crash into the background that should not touch or crash. So far I have exported the wire harness as a parasolid. Created a new part and imported that parasolid (wire harnees) into the new part to make everything one piece. or solid. I have done the same thing with the background. Placed both parts into a assembly file and run a simple clearance check and recieved a error stating "Clearance analysis has failed to due to input body or bodies failing to pass parasolid body check"

If you have the Advanced assemblies license, you can run a Analysis - Assembly clearance - Clearance set where you can set up the test as comparing two lists of components against each other. In this case the harness would be list one and the surrounding components / solids would be list two. The setup is a little complex to describe... You can also assign clearance zones to the components, i.e it you wish to have a x millimeter clearance zone around some components, this can be analysed and highlighted.

But, as Cowski notes, find any faulty solids first.
