As long as I've been using the mirror assembly command, I've had a problem in which the solution that appears to be correct is actually out of position by .1 Degrees(ish). When I have noticed this and attempted to find a solution that is correct, generally this is the only option which is obviously close to what I want. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you found a better method to reuse and reposition components across a line of symmetry? We have 4 designers here that use this command; we are currently on NX 8.5, but this goes back as far as I can remember using it.

Any help is definitely appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Look at what you have inside the reference set called "MODEL". This is what the Mirroe Assembly is looking at. My bet is their is some extra geometry that is throwing off the calculation. You can explicitly use the Symmetry Override and a named datum plane called "Symmetry Override" to force the mirror to behave the way you want ignoring what is in the reference set called "MODEL".

Using NX 7.5.4 / 8.5.2
