Hi all
I would appreciate to have some feedback on the following topic.
It seems to me that NX «loves» to make meshes with triangular element shapes (Tetras og Trias) and tries to avoid Quads and Hexas. For examples, I have seen several times that corners of square sufaces are cut off (Like it could have been filled with a Tria shaped element)
Also surfaces that earlier have been meshed with Quads, are not meshed after remeshing. I get the following message:
Highlighted faces failed to mesh
Try putting a 2d mesh on the faces before solid meshing.
I AM NOT TRYING TO MAKE A SOLID MESH!!! WHY IS NX SO FOCUSED ON 3D MESHING WITH TRIANGULAR ELEMNT SHAPES???? When a 2d mesh in my case and most shell geometry cases will give the best answer? (Small thickness compared to the 2 other dimensions)
Sorry for my exclamations. I get really frustrated.
I would really appreciate some feedback from anyone who have encountered the same problem.
