I have a bearing, like a donut, that has a hole drilled from the OD, radially inward - at 45 degrees off the horizontal joint. When you look at the Top View, of course, it is an ellipse (a circle that entered a curved surface).
I want to cut a section, using that hole as the hinge line location. No Snap Point seems to be able to figure out the middle of the hole. There is no way to grab the cylindrical face, as far as we can tell to infer it either.
A 3-D Centerline symbol WILL go in (it figures that out with the cylindrical face) but the hinge line cannot be connected to that either.
Thoughts?
