I created a Part Family in NX8.5 and Teamcenter 9. (It was an NAS1805 nut with less than 20 parts.)
The first file I created, I added my initials to the filename in case anything went awry. All of the components were created successfully and checked in to TC. When I was happy with the results I renamed the file (File -> Save As -> Save As New Item) then deleted the original one (some parts with the Delete key and other portions with a rt-click -> cut). Oddly enough when I drilled down the new part in TC, none of the family members were there. When I open the new part in NX, the Excel sheet shows all the entries and I can access each one individually. (And yes, the geometry is correct.)
I tried to use the "Create Parts" function but get the following error:
"Failed to create family member NAS1805-16/01:
Family member part found is not from the desired part family"
How do I get my part family back into TC?
Thanks,
Matthew
