I have NX 7.5 and I need to constrain the center point of a sphere to the center line of a hollow cylinder. The sphere does not touch the inside walls of the cylinder and travels along this center line. I can grab the center line just fine but cannot seem to be able to grab the center point of the sphere. Any thoughts or ideas?

Use the "touch align" type and change the orientation to "infer center/axis", you will be able to select the face of the sphere to get the center point (make sure the selection filter doesn't interfere with selecting a face).

Alternately, you can create an object in the sphere part file to help constrain the object such as a point, line, vector, datum csys, etc; then it can be selected in the constraint dialog. This helper object does not have to be in the reference set used for the component in the assembly; but you will have to temporarily switch to the containing reference set before creating the constraint.
