Number of elements on edges

Hi everyone,
I'm here, with another question. In this video (in 12:40):

I have saw, that is possible to see how much elements will be, or it is on an edges. Not just points, but a number. Can anyone explain to me how I can achieve this? It's realy annoying to count small dots, every time I want to know, how much elements will be created...
