NPT threads VS PT VS BSPT

Hello All,

I am inquiring about what standards do Japanese PT fall under? or what types of threads to I select when I want to threads to be compatable w/ the Japanese PT threads?

I also used BSPT British Std Taper Pipe Thread in PT type locations but was unsure of the fit. Was this correct? Note no harm done, pneumatic application in a plastic female boss/brass fitting.
