Hi Friends,

How to export the 3d model (part or assembly) into iges format where symbols are created on the points of the 3D model.

So that when i open the iges file , all symbols should be visible which we created in the 3d model.



Please help me.

I think the only way to export text in iges is to create it as a datum curve.

There is an option under save as to include datum curves when exporting. The only problem is that you cant select which curves you want to export so you will have to use layers to turn off the ones you dont want.

I dont know if that helps you with your symbols though.
