Just wondering if anyone has a formula or rule of thumb for notching the bending zones in sheet metal in order to create a closed corner when forming sheet metal on a press brake. How do you calculate your notch size and corner relief?

Thanks

I recall a company standard calling for

radius of relief = 5 x t.

For the notch, we notch it at the brake line.
