Non-Precision Thread Call Outs 2

My company is making threaded rods for use in our product. As long as a nut screws on the rod it is good. The threads can be tore. I know a 1A thread tolerance covers the pitch dia. but I need to put on the print a call out that allows our QA department to pass the parts as long as a nut goes on them, without rejcting them for appearance. Any Ideas?

Would a note on the drawing be sufficient? stating something like use the nut as a go no-go gauge for the thread regardless of thread appearance. Unless you state otherwise QA will use their own standards to reject or except parts. That's what notes on a drawing are for is to communicate design intent.

I thought that might be the way I had to go. I just wasn't sure if there was a standard call out that covered what I needed.

Yeah I think a well crafted note is probably the way to go. I'd still note the basic thread requirements with ref to the relevan UN or whatever spec etc but have the note as a qualifier.
