Hi everyone,
I'm new to Abaqus and FEA. Currently I am assigned to do a FEM for
a C-channel. And I have not taken any FEA classes (not in my syllabus).
And I tried to figure it myself, I can't found what's wrong.
I model the c-channel as a shell part. Loaded with shell load,
with pinned end support on both end. allowable rotation at DZ.
Step I used, general, RIKS.
However, I couldn't get load capacity same with what I am calculating.
Difference was too large.
If i use concentrated load in some point, the buckling of the C-channel are not logical.
I hope someone can guide me. I don't know what went wrong.
