I have heard that 100% nitrogen will "draw out" more dirty particulate than CDA if run through the same air lines. Is this true? It doesn't make sense to me as "air" is almost 80% nitrogen already. Can somebody point me to some study material on this subject?

1. Please clarify the acronym CDA. Is it compressed dry air ? Or clean dry air ?
2. What are the CDA lines used for ?
3. Are you sure the intention in using 100% nitrogen is the removal of particulates rather than sweeping out undesirable air "components" that may have accumulated ? BTW, air may contain traces of unwanted contaminants, depending on the pollutants present in the vicinity of the air compressors' intake.

In my oppinion the big percentage of particles is generated inside the pipes with relaease of particles form the friction of the gas stream passing in the pipe. This is why you should have always a filter (we use 0.22um) at least next to the inlet of a equipment where you handle the final product.
