Last week, our Nikon DTM-A5 total station began to malfunction. When shooting distance, the instrument will go through its "system warmup", begin to measure the distance, time out, and retry. I have changed out the prisms, adjusted the angle of the prism, charged batteries, and tried with and without the data collector. Has anyone had any similar problems or suggestions (besides get rid of the antique)? Thanks for any help.
