Hello everybody,

The client has a hydrogen distribution valve box (DVB) that is supplied with a controller (screen display, inputs/outputs configuration, EMO, SCADA, etc.)
The controller box comes with an option for a Z-purge (nitrogen). DVB and controller are located in a flammable room with adequate ventilation (Class I Div 2).

I'm trying to figure out whether or not this comptroller requires a nitrogen purge. I'm thinking that if it is Class I Div2, it does not require the purge. Am I wrong?

I design aqueducts in a parallel universe.
