Dears,

which standard to govern installation of new hydrocarbon pipe (heavy fuel line).
is it feasible to install this line with flanges or better to butt weld joint?

regards

May check ASME B31.3, B31.4 Codes or equivalent for the possible application for the hydrocarbon pipe you have.
Why you think that flange connection is not feasible for the service? Additional information of your application is helpful for the reply.

If its piping then probably B 31.3 or B 31.1 if its in a power plant.

Flanges feasible - Yes, but not common unless you have issues with welding in a particular location. Basically one weld instead of two and no cost for two flanges and bolts.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
