What the advantages and dis-advantages are in either fitting 'rubber' flexible connections to items of vibrating pant (ie pumps) or 'neoprene' (synthetic rubber) flexible connections.
My experience with natural rubber is that it tends to age harden and is not as resistant to as many chemical solutions as is the neoprene material. Hope this helps.
I understand that rubber vibration isolations units are widely used as they offer a high degree of noise and vibration isolation. Is it the case that neoprene units are less effecient?
I believe the rubber is used in vibration isolation units rather than neoprene because it is cheaper! As I said previously the neoprene has additives to improve chemical resistance which add to the cost.
