hi Gents,
Can anyone suggest me a strain gage that is able to measure 4000 microstrain for fatigue life. we are currently using a strain gage CEA-13-125UR-350 and i am told by my test engineer that this strain gage is only able to measure +/- 1500 microstrain for 100 000 cycles and +/- 1300 mirostrain for 1 million cycles. therefore i would need to change this strain gage.
can anyone suggest something
regards,

The PDF linked to below might be a good place to start looking for fatigue life. I don't see anything that can handle both your strain and fatigue life requirements located there, so you might have to think about getting creative on doing 1/2 cycle then replacing the gage and finishing or placing the gage in the far field where the strain is not so high.
