Hello,
I need some help finding a reference-able source for tire stiffness / spring rate data.
We are evaluating the affect of seismic loading on a multi-wheeled transporter. (e.g. Goldhofer SPMT) The transporter has multiple 215 / 75 R17.5 tires mounted to vertically mounted hydraulic cylinders. Tire pressure is typically 150 psig.
For our analysis case, we are considering the hydraulic cylinders as locked (rigid links), and the tires would be the only appreciably flexible link in the system. The question is: how flexible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
