Need Help. Delta Flow Divider 50/50

I am really new to fluid power. I have a delta 50/50 flow divider (HPR23). It has 2 inlet ports. One on each end. I was expecting only 1 inlet and 2 outlets. Do I need to Tee the inlets togehter, or can I just hook up one of them.

Ok, the answer I found was that I could tee the line from my valve and go into both inlets or I could plug one, and use only one inlet port.
