Currently the client has provided the following information, and he has asked me to help him with the specification -

Application: liquid condensate truck fill skid
No air available, must use electric actuator (480V available)
3", 150# RF Flanges
Ball valve
CS body, SST trim
Must handle 100 gpm @ 50psi, 125F
Area Classification Class 1 Div 2

Any help with type/line of valve and actuator assembly would be greatly appreciated.

there are so many ESD ball valves can be used for your application, thost picked a right one for you. the only issue is that if it is for salty water or other corrosive liquid, trim material has to be carefully selected.

by the way, oil hand pump is not very good for cold winter like in Canada, a mechanical hand wheel and clutch would be better.

1. You have to specify, or let the enduser specify needed closing time.
2. Use a reputable ball valve brand / manufacturor.
3. Order the ballvalve and actuator (specified or suggested/accepted type) as a complety mounted unit supplied and tested from one (responsible) source.
4. Performance test described, agreed from supplier before acceptance.

Other types of electrical actuators: BIFFI with spring return. Check suppliers for offshore arctic North-Sea for quotes or recommondations/references (UK or Norwegian suppliers)
