Hello all,
I'm a 653 inspector with a particularly vicious ex-wife---a lady that has endeavored to smear my name all over the Web. She's angry that the Courts deemed her to be an unfit mother and now she's projecting her rage on me. Unfortunately she's wealthy and well connected enough to cause serious grief.
This leads into my question---I'm seriously pondering changing my given name. But I'm concerned about how this would look in API's eyes, or if there's even a mechanism within API to facilitate an inspector's name change.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Brian

man, sucks to be you. I see no problems, but she will still find out. It will all pass soon, maybe hook a friend you don't like up with her.

Even if API allowed a name change, your Cert # would remain the same. Does she know it??

Believe me gentleman, hell hath no fury like this woman. I think it was Nietzsche who said that in love and war woman is more barbaric than man...

Anyhow, if API permits the name change (and could they reasonably refuse?), that would naturally entail a cert # change, would it not? But you're saying API won't allow a cert # change?

Thanks again.

I can't think how the name change would solve anything, but can't imagine it would be that big of a problem, either. If the driver's license people, the IRS, etc. can handle it, surely they API can.
