Multiple branches on piping

There is a 6" vertical piping (natural gas @ 76 bar operating pressure) with 3 off x 1" instrument tappings same elevation but orientated 90 degrees from each other.
There is a design work to upgrade these existing instruments, which requires us to now have 3 off x 3" tappings at the same location (orientated at approx 120 degrees from each other. ASME B31.3 referenced PFI standard ES-7 (minimum length / spacing of welded nozzles) and I have used this to have the 3 off x 3" tappings using 'weldolets' but now on an 8" piping.
My concern is whether this arrangement ok and if this PFI standard is really applicable to this type of arrangement?
The sketches made in the PFI standard are for nozzles arranged along the run pipe and not exactly for nozzles radialy spaced at same elevation.
