Hello everybody

I would like to create a very simple contact between two sheets.

I have PATRAN and NATRAN and I would like to know if I could carry out calculations of contact with this two software or if I were to have MARC??

I arrive to create a contact rigid and deformable however my two sheets do not deformed together.

I would like to carry out the equivalent of a surface-to-surface contact of Ansys, enter a null gap in order to detect the contact at the beginning.

Thanks you
Sorry for my english

Frenchmesh,

In order to do that you need to use the implicit solver SOL600. Then you need to creat your contact bodies (deformable), set your contact table to make sure the contact is defined, and then play with the contact tolerance to make sure the contact is picked up by Nastran (in reality marc in the back ground).

Surface to surface contact should be possible or something really close to that. I don't see any complication about sheet to sheet contact. Remember that nastran considers the thickness of your sheet and this plays a crucial role into defining the right gap or contact tolerance.

Maybe you can send your .bdf and I could look at it.
