KTdesign,
You can request a 30day trial of Creo 2.0.0

from PTC to evaluate the benefits and any detriments of it.
In Wildfire 5 Pro/E finally did what they should have done long ago. allowed the rotation of ellipses at any angle 90 used to be the only option without uing 4 conics with equations to control angles and other things upto WF5 I needed to use those. The new Equal Dimensions constraint and the Context sensitive constraints were stolen from the efficient SolidWorks context toolbar and are very similar to the Solidworks linked Values.
SolidWorks 2012 finally has a conic arc capability added into it's sketcher so it seems the fight is on.
You should at least request a trial version or attend a Demo at a Reseller.
The ribbon interface may be a nightmare for some I only wish it could be customized better like in CoCreate or Creo Direct. I remember the hours I spent changing my drawing selection Mapkeys single selection list to the Tab specific interface. I even created an R# mapkey sequence to activate the tabs on the Ribbon. I haven't used Creo 2 yet but look forward to checking it out.
PTC has one of the most robust "
Robustest" modeling kernals Granite. SolidWorks currently uses the Parasolid Kernal by SIEMENS and may be switching to the clunky Catia Kernal

. Maybe that got better since V5 but I'm not so certain.
