Hello,

The torque required to move the load on my lead screw (with safety factor of 1.9) is ~250 oz-in.

I need the lead screw to rotate at 1500 rpm (To achieve the required linear speed of 2.5 in/sec, with a 1/2"-10 acme screw)

My initial thought was to directly connect an electric motor to the lead screw. However, motors that can achieve direct output of 1500 rpm and 250 oz-in torque are slightly too expensive.

I would like to explore a pulley or gear based connection from a motor to the lead screw, but have no idea where to start.

Any advice or direction will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sean
