I did a few searches for current analysis and came up empty.

We have several 100 HP agitators that have broken teeth in their 12-1 double reduction gearboxes. There is vibration very apparent all over the place at blade pass ( around 284 cpm ).

Would you expect basic current analysis with a clamp on probe, resistor, and IRD/CSI etc data collector on the 460 v, 121 FLA induction motors to reflect "instantaneous" load variations, for instance at Blade pass frequency?

thanks

I also found a paper on exactly what you are looking for, but you need to purchase it.

thanks Fe - looks like a creative use for an old varnished up car transmission in their test rig.

No problem.
Yea, it does look creative, hope it helps!
