I'm rebuilding my block foundation walls. I am doing this in sections. I shored up about a quarter of the two story house and took down the block wall and rebuilt them on the existing footing. Walls are 7 feet tall and I used type S mortar and filled every other cell with rebar and grout. Wondering how long before I can set the house back on this portion of the foundation and move onto the next section. Temperatures have been lows in 30's and high's in 50's.

It depends on how much load you will have on the wall. If the stress is going to exceed 600 to 800 psi, I would wait for the grout to gain strength...the mortar will be mostly irrelevant at that point, since you have every other cell filled.

Depending on your grout's design strength, you should achieve about 50 to 60 percent of the strength in 7 days (again, considering the lower temperatures).
