Tom, I know this book (which I am still trying to get from TARRC) gives a semi-empirical formula for correcting the compression modulus of a cylindrical rubber block cemented between rigid parallel plates for the "shape factor" of the block. (I've already found that formula elsewhere.)

Just one more question about this book: There is reputed to be a similar formula for correcting the thermal expansion of such a block for its shape factor. I've found two references to the formula on line, but insufficient detail on the shape-factor correction. Does Lindley say anything about this?

Failing that, does anyone have another source for this information? -- WCJ (was jclarkw)

P.S. -- If there is a way to send a personal message from one member to another through this forum, I haven't discovered it. Any help? -- WCJ

No there is no way to send a personal message- protects against marketing trolls- however you could provide your name and some secondary way to contact you such as your company website or Linkedin and someone could contact you. Email addresses are against forum rules.

Thanks, cloa.
