Moment transfer to column

My company do post tension beam and slab design.but when they do design,they assume moment transfer from slab or beam to the column should not greater than 2.5M/bd2.I think that is not correct.How should I calculate that moment?any guidance will be appreciated as I am amateur in pt design.

sorry the formula is not 2.5M/bd2.they assume moment transfer to column should less than 2.5bd2.if the moment is larger than that they reduce the column stiffness.

Have a read thru thread167-280869 I remember a good discussion there. For the slab design I considered very little moment transfer into the column below. For punching shear checks I use a column stiffness of at least 50%.
