Is there any format in which I can export a model from Pro/E 2001 to Catia without a file translator? What I would like is for the Catia user to be able to look at a part, spin it around, measure bits on it etc so that they could offer me some advice.

I'm not bothered about them being able to work on the models I send.

Pro/E has a translator that exports a CATIA Direct model. That file will have the extension .model. The only problem is PTC requires you to buy the interface software add-on.

also you can choose save as: *.ct, wich represents archive format for catia.
