Hi all,

I have been trying for a while now to model the quasi-static compression of a natural fibre reinforced thermoplastic material honeycomb using ABAQUS. I have experimental data for both the quasi-static compression of the honeycomb and the material.

The problem arises in that the stress-strain behaviour of the honeycomb is very different to that of the material in compression. For example the stress-softening behaviour after peak yield stress for the honeycomb is not seen with the material.

This question has popped up once or twice previously in the forums but there has never been any solid answer, basically given the availability of the above mentioned experimental data, how should the material model for the honeycomb be defined in ABAQUS?

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!
