modelling composite in ansys

hi there,

I am working on damping issues and trying to modal the damped beam and damped plate in ansys. I am using the shell99 element as it is linear layered element and thickness ratio is more than 10. I have obtain the modal parameters from the experiment. When I am trying to modal and obtain the results for the beam and plate the results are weird they arent any match with my experimental data. Am I doing anything fundamentally wrong, am I modaling the elements correctly or I am using the correct element for description. Do help me out in solving this.
