Hello,

Does any one know if you can draw a boat propeller on solidworks?

If so, could you give me some tips on how to do it,

Cheers

Andrew

ANDREW,

I tryed to make a boat propeller for fun and found the easiest way was to make the first blade by itself. I started with an ellipitical sketch for the blade profileand then made a 3D sketch of a spline to define thepath it needs to go. Then I just used the SWEEP command. Extruded a hub which merged thru the blade, then just insert a circular pattern of your blade.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all,

Hello,
you can also do it with 'fill surface'(surfaces->)command...
Create the bounding 3d sketches..and the constraint curves, for better control...
Now, Apply the 'Thicken'(Features->)command if necessary.
Finally, apply the 'Circular Pattern'(Features->)command
and 'Combine'(Features->) the blades with the hub...

Thanks...........
