Does anyone know where to find a good example of the Modal seismic analysis described in ASCE 7-98 9.5.4 when Equivalent Lateral Force can not be used due to horiz/vert irregularities? Does RAM use this procedure? I can't seem to find anything. Thanks in advance!

In the September 2003 issue of Structural Engineer, there is an article on Seismic design usig structural dynamics.
RAM will do a respose spectra analysis, you may want to check out the help file for that.

One of the best examples I found was in an example problem provided by RISA Technologies in their RISA 3D program documentation.

If you don't have that program, then this post isn't going to help you much.
