I am looking at an application where two air flows are mixed. One is hot (94oC) and saturated with steam. The other is cold (25oC) and at 70% relative humidity. There will obviously be significant amounts of condense formed.
Do any of you have an idea about how quickly droplets will be formed? If the airflows mix in a pipe or duct with 10m/s air speed, how far downstream should a demister or separator be placed?
Cheers,
Knut
