We currently use a Mitsubishi 3015 with 2000 watts and I was wondering if anyone else has the same machine that also etches with it.
Were looking into etching part numbers onto 18g 304 stainless and was wondering if someone could post a screenshot of parameters and a sample program. Thanks in advance.

I think that regular CO2 parameters are:

Power: 300 Watts
Frequency: 300
Duty 30
Feed 120
Nozzle Gap: .120
Hope this helps

we have an amada 3kw c02.I use to make dark markings (oxygen).
speed (7000-5000 mm / min)
power 1000w;
hz = 1000-1300
duty = 18 with 1000hz and 23 with 1300,
low pressure 1.0-1.5bar oxygen.
nozzle height between 1.5 and 2.4mm.
with this configuration the writing remains visible even after a slight shot peening or sandblasting of the piece. if you want it stronger you just have to increase the duty.
if you want silver writing you have to use nitrogen with :
power at 350
frequency 1000
duty between 35 - 40.
to have a more defined marking the focal length must be on the surface. the further the focal is far from the surface, than more you will need power to mark .
