minimize peak stress

Is there a way to optimize a design based on peak stress in a region rather than peak stress in the overall model? I would think there would be a way to do this using something like a volume region but I do not know how. Any advice would be very helpful. I am currently running WF3.0

You can create a measure within a specified radius from a point and have Mechanica optimize within that radius.
