Mild Steel Plastic Deformation

Hi, I would like to check how would you assess the plastic deformation for mild steel material?

If I am running linear analysis, the stress exceeds yield stress and the strain more than elastic limit (Stress/ Modulus) but less than 0.2%.

Should I use use elastic limit or 0.2% for the yield at plastic strain?
 
Beware… in aviation/aerospace, 'mild steel' has many flavors... exactly what alloy [SAE, UNS #], what temper and what specification [SAE, MIL, ASTM, etc]???

Is there a design criteria that you're trying to satisfy here? Could you give
some more details of your problem?
For aircraft structural analysis, any plastic deformation occurring between the material's proportional limit stress and tensile yield allowable is typically considered to be not detrimental (when showing compliance to FAR 2x.305).
