I understand that Inside Paint System No. 7 (Metallic Sprayed Zinc Coating System) was removed from the current AWWA D102 (Painting Steel Water-Storage Tanks) Standard because the AWWA is developing a new standard for this and other similar coatings.

Does anyone know if this new standard is available, or when it might become available?

I would be surprised if they came out with a different standard from the D102 for tank coatings. Who knows, though? Anyway, these things can drag on for years. You might check with the suppliers of this equipment.

I had understood that requirements for NSF approvals had really been a problem with galvanizing, and this may have been the motivation behind not including the system you mention. It was not often used, and cost seemed disproportionate to the benefit of it.
